Comfortably Numb
This unique, one-of-a-kind copper bowl is a beautiful art object that begins its life as a simple disc of copper. It’s formed and then hand-fired with multiple layers of vitreous enamel, a time-honoured process that fuses glass to copper at high temperatures, creating unique and lasting works of art. This particular piece showcases a vibrant sifted enamel design with a transparent orange frog stencil, set against a pale blue background. The reverse side of the bowl is finished with a rich, counter enamel of the deepest, glossy black.
